Travelling is something we all know. Whether it's a trip to the other side of the world, a weekend in a neighbouring country, or going to childcare for the first time with a backpack: we go on a little trip every day. Often with lots of eagerness and joy, but sometimes also with uneasiness, fear or homesickness.
Battoe is a performance about coming home to an ever-changing world. Two artists leave their familiar cocoon behind, and set off on a journey together. On a wooden musical raft with all kinds of hidden sounds, they cross borders and travel through a sea of different emotions. Step by step and wave after wave, they discover the complicated world and themselves a little more.
