Welcome to our 5-star Rif Restaurant! (*****)
Pop-up resto serving only very dirty-looking dishes (apologies for the inconvenience...), run entirely by children!
Rif is jumping on the bandwagon of Children's Art Day 2025 and, in collaboration with the City of Mortsel, is organising a surprising pop-up restaurant with lots of music and theatre run by children. Expect a performance by Mortsel's Rif Fanfare featuring musicians from 6 years old to as old as 76, the children's restaurant featuring only dirty-looking, yet delicious, dishes and a behind-the-scenes look at the beautiful miniature landscape More Indians, less cowboys. A giant miniature train world built entirely from waste from the Scheldt!
Children from 7 years onwards who are curious about how to prepare tasty yet very dirty-looking dishes, want to learn how to behave as a waiter in a fancy restaurant or just like to help make the restaurant cosy are best to sign up for this quick cook's course by sending an email to nathalie@rif.be. This chef training is completely free and takes place at Saturday 15/11 from 3 pm to 5 pm and on Sunday 16/11 from 10am to 4pm At Rif.
All other children and parents welcome on Sunday 16/11 for the programme below
- 12h: musical opening of the pop-up resto by the Rif Fanfare
- 1pm: to the table! Take a seat in our chic pop-up resto (run entirely by children) and be taken through a menu of exclusively very dirty-looking dishes! (Apologies for the inconvenience...)
- 15h: closing look behind the scenes at the performance More indians, less cowboys (6+)
All these activities are completely free of charge. However, you can reserve a seat via the ticket page to the right.
