Noise crop: No lemons no melon (8pm)

At a time when communication has become an endless stream of signals, the excess of activity actually evokes a longing for closure, rest, pause, ritual and silence. Can we bend the cacophony of sound and impulses present in such a way that we come closer to the sound of silence?

On the border between dance and concert, Inga Huld Hákonardóttir and Yann Leguay explore the meaning of sound amplification. They respond to technological means meant to make communication more efficient, and question our compulsive quest for ever more and faster connection.

no lemons no melon articulates a yearning for silence - and its elusiveness. Amid all the noise, how can we find the silence we need to truly unwind? What does this silence look like, and does it actually exist? In a performance in which sound becomes visible and silence audible, Inga and Yann try to create a still point in a chaotic world that constantly inundates us with stimuli.
