Sometimes I am a poet
And sometimes even too close
Then I am closed
And heavy in weight
Then I would like to continue
As far as I wanted
Until further closes again
And closer to you
Sometimes I am further
And sometimes even too far
I would have walked
full of hope here and there
Then I would like closer
As close as I wanted
Until poet takes me far
And further with you

Poet is a poetic and interactive children's performance about distance and proximity, bringing together play, movement, music and images. We take the children on an aural and visual journey from far to close, or just from close to far. From far to farther to far beyond. It is a playful performance about poetry, about how the meaning of “far” and “close” can be far apart, but also just close to each other. How “far” and “close” are not only opposite, but can also be connected.

About how sometimes we get further by being closer to each other and ourselves. Poet is more than just a children's performance; it is above all an interactive play with words, their rhythm and the movement that arises naturally.
