With 'Care (Past/Present/Future)', Tamayo Okano presented a very intimate performance at Phoenix Festival 2024 that gave a voice to women who end up in care roles. She used the voices of these women to dive deep into themselves and then find a way to care together. While making the performance, it gradually became a story about herself and her mother, the carer and the cared-for.

The theme of 'ageing' is linked to 'care' and is an issue that artist Tamayo Okano also struggles with.

We are getting older every second, a series of dense and insignificant changes.

Tamayo's goal is to create a story with very personal memories and feelings, smells and textures

and by digging deeper to create a universal story in which everyone feels their own

can remember feelings at any given time.
