Who? What? Libretto lecture?
WALPURGIS traditionally takes out an opera classic once in a while and then, out of sheer curiosity and pleasure, separates the music from the text so that its content can resonate in a new way for us and our times. With our libretto readings, we bring actors, singers and musicians together on stage and reduce the threshold to opera.
Expect a casual musical theatre feast brimming with playful fun and heavenly music.

WALPURGIS asked several actors from 't Barre Land, society Discordia and the Roovers to perform da Pontes libretto for Così fan Tutte in hand for a joint text reading. Singers from musical theatre collective WALPURGIS and guests will sing some arias and ensembles.

Do not expect the fullest and most textual reading of Mozart's opera but rather a spontaneous musical theatre event.
