How do you do it, miss someone?

How do you miss your brother or sister?

Can you find comfort in building houses?

Is there sadness behind a picture of a window?

Can you get better at missing someone?

Or even the best?

Do you miss someone?

Theatre-maker Lies Ferny and harpist Jutta Troch draw inspiration from their own experiences of loss. Using an inherited photo archive from Jutta's sister, they search for solace in image and music.

Miss You Me? is a musical theatre performance for everyone ages 8 and up. Miss You Me? is about a brother and sister, about the emptiness they leave behind when you lose them and how at times it overpowers everything. It is about getting lost in the many twists and turns of loss, the attempts to get closer together again, and finding comfort in everyday things.

Lies Ferny and harpist Jutta Troch draw inspiration from their own experience. From the inherited photo archive of Jutta's sister, they chose a number of images as a starting point for this performance. By manipulating and projecting the photos in combination with words and live music, Mis je mij? shows how we as humans root and wring to deal with loss and search for ways to make loss visible, audible and consolable.
