Review

"The young Flemish duo really acquits themselves brilliantly in a technically quite difficult task. Judith Vindevogel's youthful and pure timbre lends itself excellently to the work and her delivery sounds at once sensitive and intelligent. It must be said that Alain Franco assists her particularly nicely in this. A revelation!"
LL, Frame sheet

"From Belgium comes a beautiful performance of Messiaen's 'song of love and death' Harawi by soprano Judith Vindevogel and pianist Alain Franco. A release that remained hidden for a while in the violence of the huge record offering. Vindevogel, who caused a furore in a Salzburg-Brussels performance of Mozart's Zauberflöte as a miniature Papagena with an unusually penetrating soprano voice, also proves herself to be a Messiaen interpreter of separate significance with her lithe, barely vibrating natural sound. The spontaneity of this performance can only be the result of in-depth study. The interplay of voice and piano is exemplary."
