"From Belgium comes a beautiful performance of Messiaen's 'song of love and death' Harawi by soprano Judith Vindevogel and pianist Alain Franco. A release that remained hidden for a while in the violence of the huge record offering. Vindevogel, who caused a furore in a Salzburg-Brussels performance of Mozart's Zauberflöte as a miniature Papagena with an unusually penetrating soprano voice, also proves herself to be a Messiaen interpreter of separate significance with her lithe, barely vibrating natural sound. The spontaneity of this performance can only be the result of in-depth study. The interplay of voice and piano is exemplary."
