On 30 April 2009, theFENIKS in Mortsel was festively opened to the public. The unconventional combination of genres and artists makes the FENIKS FESTIVAL an annual, unique event full of surprising encounters.
On Sunday, May 3, WALPURGIS organised an introduction to the Alexander Technique ism AEFMAT in parallel with the artistic programming of the FENIKS FESTIVAL, as well as a buffet at which artists and audiences sat down together

As Tuur Florizoone, accordionist and composer (known from, among others, the film Collision in Moscou) and tuba and trombone virtuoso Michel Massot meet cellist Marine Horbaczewski, a powerful alchemy ensues. While improvising, the trio conjures the strangest, most pleasantly disturbed, but above all moving sounds from their instruments, balancing between contemporary classical music and jazz improvisations.
