In the hands of artist Hans Beckers, sand is a musical instrument that lets him play with rhythm and timbre like a weather god. He collected sand from all over the world and built a beautiful hourglass installation. Through taps and drip counters, the sand escapes. It falls down into pots and bowls. The machines seem to measure time, the drip organ regulates the flow of sound.
