WELCOME to the WONDERFUL WORLD of WALPURGIS & guests

Mitridate, libretto reading #11 - WALPURGIS

As usual, WALPURGIS unravels an opera classic to the bone and treats you to an entertaining evening in which spoken and sung dialogues and mischievous comments constantly alternate.

Popperie Dozerie, a toy fantasy (4+) (work in progress) - One-Off

Classical musical gems for children are extremely scarce. One-Off became fascinated by La Boîte à joujoux, a ballet for children by Claude Debussy. Elena Peeters, known for her young wantonness and fragile honesty, writes a new text. She is musically assisted by pianist Guy Vandromme and sound artist and eternal scout Adriaan Severins.

Gesicht (work in progress) - Florentin Ginot, Frédéric Stochl, Michel Agnès Magalhaes & Alissia Maestracci

Dance, clay, plaster, two double basses and a contemporary soundscape mixed with live-played echoes of Schubert's Winterreise, Les Voix Humaines by Marin Marais and Blue and Gray by Rebecca Saunders are the ingredients with which Florentin Ginot, Frédéric Stochl, Michel Agnès Magalhaes & Alissia Maestracci manage to mould a particularly intriguing, musical and poetic universe.

NIGHT - BARRY/Karel Tuytschaever

An intimate sensory radio play by BARRY/Karel Tuytschaever where the spectator's ear forms the imagination of watching.

EARopener by Ludo De Brabander

What mechanisms perpetuate perpetual war rhetoric? And is it then not possible to break the vicious circle of revenge and reprisal? Ludo De Brabander, spokesperson for Vrede vzw, will speak on this topic.

Behind the food - Eric De Volder (THE KIP & LOD)

A deeply black incest story by Eric De Volder (THE KIP & LOD) in which a mother (Ineke Nijssen) and a daughter (Marijke Pinoy) sing and stutter to expose their misery.
