On 10 Sunday afternoons, Wilfried Van den Brande (vocals) and Dirk Baert (piano) will take you into the musical-literary wonderland of Cole Porter.
They chronologically explore the oeuvre and life of this phenomenal American composer, an icon of the international jet set of the 1920s-’60s. Cole Porter wrote lyrics and music to more than 40 standards, songs that are etched in the collective memory. Night and day, Ev're time we say goobye, I've got you under my skin, Anything goes,....
But besides these hits, there is also a lot of unexplored yet extremely interesting territory. With quite a critical eye, Wilfried and Dirk made a selection of just under 200 songs from the more than 900 titles Porter wrote.
